Working Families Advocate
Dismantling wage inequality and the pay-to-play campaign system to empower local citizens
Key Issue Stances
"I believe it is important to raise the minimum wage and eliminate wage inequality in all professions, including equal pay. We need to implement a basic income program to eliminate poverty in Pennsylvania."
"We need to work to ensure access to high quality, affordable, evidence-based, and patient-centered healthcare to all Pennsylvanians."
"It is important to eliminate the pay-to-play system so that working class people can have a seat at the table."
Can you describe your background?
I was born and raised in the suburbs of Pittsburgh in a working class family, raised by a single dad after my mom died when I was 11. My brother and I are the product of public resources: social security, Planned Parenthood, and student loans. I attended Penn State for my undergraduate degree and Still University for my graduate degree in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine. I was raised by amazing parents who taught me that hard work, truth, and doing what is right are the most important things in life.
What made you want to run for office?
I am running for office because of failing democracy due to pay-to-play from all parties, wage inequality, and attacks on our basic freedoms. I am ready to fight for all of the values my parents instilled in me.
What legislation would you support if elected?
We need to create and implement an immigration process/program that recognizes the value of people who have lived here for years, working hard and playing by the rules. We need a system that keeps families together, creates a roadmap for those who aspire to become citizens, and helps strengthens the economy. Additionally, now more than ever before, we need to protect our community's health and safety, and our quality of life. We must pass legislation that reduces air, water, and land pollution—including gases that accelerate climate change.
